Steps to Collect UX Debug Logs |
This knowledge article may contain information that does not apply to version 21.05 or later which runs in a container environment. Please refer to Article Number 000385088 for more information about troubleshooting BMC products in containers. To Enable the Debug logs : ============== 1. Stop all the Smart IT services (SmartIt/MyIT, MyIT Social, Mongo DB, OpenFire) 2. Go to this path <C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat8.0\external-conf> open logback.xml in edit mode , check for DEBUG and Change name="com.bmc.bsm" level="ERROR" TO name="com.bmc.bsm" level="DEBUG" 3. Save this file 4. Go to <C:\Program Files\BMC Software\Smart_IT_MyIT\Smart_IT_MyIT\Logs> 5. Take the backup of all current logs and Delete them 6. Start all Smart IT Services 7. Open the Browser and clear the cache 8. Perform use case and Hit F12 (will open new section with debugger entry on same page) 9. Click on Network tab of debugger and hit Play 10. Take the screenshot of Request Head and Response Header for those POSTS which show in red color as POST 500 and Share with us 11. NOTE: If you are creating a backup of logback.xml , move that backup to a different folder and remove .xlm extension. |
