Control-M and Control-D for Distributed Systems Fix Packs and patchesFix PacksFor Contol-M and Control-D, BMC Software releases regular maintenance in the form of Fix Packs. These are self-installing software packages that contain a large number of fixes grouped together. Please note that Fix Packs are cumulative. You need only apply the latest one. Any exceptions to this rule will be documented in the release notes of the latest fix pack. BMC strongly recommends reading the entire release notes document prior to beginning an installation. Fix packs are numbered 100, 200, 300 etc. For example, fix pack 1 for version 7.0.00, will be named 7.0.00.100. PatchesWhenever there is an urgent problem that justifies a separate fix to be released, this is done with a patch. Patches are not cumulative, they need to be applied on top of the fix pack they were written for. The patch number indicates the fix pack it applies to. For example, patch 8 that needs to be applied on top of fix pack 4, will be numbered 408, so the full patch number (for version 6.4.01) will be: 6.4.01.408. Please refer to the release notes for the patch you are installing for further instructions. Where to get
