Azure has made changes to default basic metrics for Windows VM. Many of the basic OS metrics are disabled.
Hence some of the parameters in the KM are showing offline because there is no data at Azure end. |
To enable those metrics , it is required to execute a powershell script which will enable the required basic OS metrics for KM. Powershell download link: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/downloads/ Options to execute script: Open powershell on command prompt, specify script name and hit enter. It will set the diagnostic for default subscription. To enable the diagnostics for the VM under any other subscription need to execute the script with -SubscriptionId <subscriptionid> option. eg. EnableMetrics_Azure20.ps1 -SubscriptionId 789gh-678yu-io9876-iouyt Attached are the scripts for Azure 2.0 and 2.1 Also please provide “storage account contributor” permission to the user to monitor the Linux machines. The above permission is required for both Windows and Linux.
