What is the required sizing exercise in the TSCO AMIGO program? |
The first step in the AMIGO program is to perform a Sizing exercise. Having a proper sizing of the TSCO environment addresses future growth and significantly reduces concerns about exceeding resources for your upgraded environment. There are 4 items to attach to your AMIGO: Starter case:
To generate the report, navigate to Workspace > Administration domains > Self-monitoring > Works. Look for a report named Diagnostic - Sizing and Data Flow Estimation report and run the report. If the report is not defined, see KA 000302463 - For TrueSight Capacity Optimization (TSCO), how to create the 'Sizing Report'?
To generate the report navigate to Workspace > Administration domains > Self-monitoring > Works. Look for a report named Diagnostic Report - Data Flow & Statistics and run the report. If the report is not defined, see KA 000241334 - For TrueSight Capacity Optimization (TSCO), how to capture the 'Diagnostic Report - Data Flow and Statistics' report? INCLUDES VIDEO.
If the environment is significantly changing from the existing condition, it would be vital to also provide a completed sizing questionnaire to account for increases in usage (increased number of entities, addition of servers required, etc). For this, complete the sizing questionnaire attached on this KA.
Database growth and performance are an essential part of the function of TSCO. Proactively providing an AWR or POWA may expedite the creation of the sizing needed for your implementation. |
