The following steps shall assist you with Increasing the Idle Track-It! Website timeout from an Internet Information Services (IIS) perspective. By default if the Website if left idle for more than 20 minutes of inactivity then the website will timeout. This is due to the IIS default settings.
- Open the IIS manager from the Control Panel -> Administrative Tools on the App Server.
- Expand the Server Name, go to Application Pools.
- Right-click on the "Track-It! Web - TrackIt" App Pool and open Advanced Settings.
- Under the Process Model section change the Idle Time-out (minutes) to the desired value in minutes like 60 or 90, the default being 20 and hit OK.
- Repeat the same steps for the "Track-It! Self Service - TrackIt" App Pool as well.
- Once above changes have been made, perform IISRESET by running command prompt as an Administrator on the App Server for the changes to take effect.
