Considering performance issues, the Tomcat Service needs to be periodically restarted. It is recommended to restart at least once a week to avoid various memory leak problems. |
Download the command script attached to this article. This is intended to restart the Tomcat Service after a countdown in seconds. You may want to edit the file and set a higher value to the timeout (250 seconds by default). Save the file on your Footprints Application Server. Use the Windows Task Scheduler : 1 - Open Task Scheduler and create a new task 2 - Name the new task and allow it to be run ven if no session is opened on the server. Also run it with High priviledges. 3 - Set when the task is to be triggered : 4 - Set actions, and go and select the RestartTomcat.bat script : Save the task. |
