How to check if an SSL certificate from a server is valid to a windows browser? |

Please refer to Article Number 000385088 for more information about troubleshooting BMC products in containers. open the https address in any browser that has connectivity to that URL eg: open an https URL See the padlock on the left of browser address bar Click on the padlock In the menu displayed the certificate is seen as valid Click on "Certificate" Then click on "Certification Path" The certificate is OK How does it look if the certificate is not Valid? From starters it would look very different on the browser page itself Then the padlock location would have some sort of indication stating it is not secure Click on "Certificate invalid" Observe the red icons on top Then moving into Certification Path In strict sense this certificate is signed by a middle CA then a ROOT CA, however the signatures of the Certificate Authority are not trusted When checking that item on the Certification Path The error is clearly visible. |
