How can I install Control-M Agent 9.0.21 connecting to Control-M/Server lower version 9.0.20 and earlier?
Version 9.0.21 Control-M/Agent can be deployed with a lower version of Control-M/Server when point patches are installed on Control-M/Server first. The EM must be on 9.0.21.

To deploy Control-M/Agent 9.0.21.xx with an older version of Control-M/Server, an additional patch is required to first be installed on the Control-M/Server based on the version listed below:

Perform the following steps:
  1. Ensure the prerequisites, mentioned in the table above, for your specific Control-M/Server version are met
  2. Download the package for your specific Control-M/Server version from the Electronic Product Download site.
  3. Extract either the Windows or Unix bundle for your platform into a temporary folder on the Control-M/Server host.
  4. Run the setup.bat script for Windows or setup.sh for Unix / Linux 
  5. Once complete no restart of Control-M/Server processes is required.

The correct path to upgrade for 9.0.19 is to upgrade the Control-M/Server to 9.0.19.200, then patch to 9.0.19.211, then apply the 9.0.19.218 patch.
