As a first step restart the target PATROL Agent. For additional troubleshooting refer https://docs.bmc.com/docs/TSInfrastructure11307/troubleshooting-the-deployment-of-packages-1231896499.html Ensure that there is adequate disk space on the target PATROL Agent & the Integration Service Node (ISN) as this is a common reason for the failure. Enable PATROL Agent debug with MAIN,COMM,GDD flags on the target PATROL Agent. Option 1: On the TSPS, Configuration -> Managed Devices -> locate a problematic PATROL Agent -> click the three dots for it -> Query PATROL Agent -> enter: __config("MAIN,COMM,GDD,FILE=C:\\temp\\debug.txt"); (That is two underscore characters) Option 2: If you have a PATROL Class Console, open a System Output window for one of the non-working/undeployable Patrol Agents & issue: %PSL __config("MAIN,COMM,GDD,FILE=C:\\temp\\debug.txt"); Option 3: Start it as follows: PatrolAgent -debug MAIN,COMM,GDD,FILE=C:\\temp\\debug.txt Trigger deployment of the package to the target PATROL Agent. Upon failure, send: - C:\temp\debug.txt - PATROL Agent error log - TrueSightCMAKmPush log from TSPS server Disable PATROL Agent debug when done (__config("-MAIN -COMM -GDD");) If the root cause cannot be determined from the above round of troubleshooting, then do the following for more advanced troubleshooting. Note that the examples below assume a package name of "WinPA11P1". Change this to reflect your actual package name: - Enable ISN debug from the TrueSight Infrastructure Management (TSIM) server: pw debug on -a <agent-name> Trigger the package distribution Do the following on the TSPS: cd <installationdirectory>/truesightpserver/data/createdPackages/WinPA11P1 sha256sum WinPA11P1.gz_part_.1 sha256sum WinPA11P1.gz_part_.2 Record the two output entries for the sha256sum commands. Note that the TSPS createdPackages directory will be populated very briefly during deployment. On the ISN: cd <installationdirectory>/pw/pronto/data/KMDEPLOYMENT/WinPA11P1 sha256sum WinPA11P1.gz_part_.1 sha256sum WinPA11P1.gz_part_.2 Record the two output entries for the sha256sum commands. On the PATROL Agent: cd D:\BMC Software\Patrol3\\tmp\WinPA11P1 certUtil -hashfile WinPA11P1.gz_part_.1 SHA256 certUtil -hashfile WinPA11P1.gz_part_.2 SHA256 (Note that the SHA256 needs to be uppercase.) Record the two output entries for the certUtil entries - Disable ISN debug from the TSIM: pw debug off -a <agent-name> - Get ISN logs from the TSIM:: pw debug file -a <agent-name> - Get TSPS dump: tssh dump export - Get this from the ISN: <installationdirectory>/pw/pronto/data/KMDEPLOYMENT From the logs, review Agent.stdout, IntegrationService.log & MessageServiceIS.log files. For example, in TrueSightCMAKmPush.log it will show checksum values. Ensure that the ISN & PATROL Agent time stamps are in sync (or tell Support the time difference) when comparing files. Send all info to BMC Customer Support. |
