Note that the Light Weight Protocols KM monitors Device availability. User wants to monitor Patrol Agent availability only.
There are a few options:
- There is a 'Data Collection and Consistency Status' report which can provide this information. The report was actually written to provide a heads-up when there is a loss of data collection (e.g. Filesystem data stops collecting). However, when a Patrol Agent has stopped, all data collection also stops, so it will be included in the list. The report can get a bit busy, but it is an option. Details are here:
- There is an ad hoc report available in the Operations Console -> Options -> Administration -> Agent Status. This provides a concise table of Patrol Agents which are online and offline. It isn't a daily report; it can be run on the fly at any time. You can also filter it to only show disconnected agents.
- You can query the cell DB to count and or list Patrol Agents which are disconnected. For example:
mquery -n pncell_clm-aus-ssmsxf -a PPM_SM_EV -w "mc_origin_class: == 'PROACTIVENET_SLFMON_COMPONENT' AND mc_object_class: == 'PROACTIVENET_COMPONENT' AND status: != CLOSED" -s COUNT
Leave off the '-s COUNT' to get the output. You can parse for Patrol Agent names as needed.
