Is it recommended to install ASSO and RSSO on the same server in a TrueSight environment? We have other applications which use RSSO (Orchestration) and we want to upgrade it without hindering our TrueSight 10.7 environment, can we install both RSSO and ASSO on the same server for use with TrueSight and other applications?

Is it recommended to install ASSO and RSSO on the same server in a TrueSight environment? We have other applications which use RSSO (Orchestration) and we want to upgrade it without hindering our TrueSight 10.7 environment, can we install both RSSO and ASSO on the same server for use with TrueSight and other applications?

Answer

While technically it can be done, it is not recommended as there is a lot involved with port allocation, java home and tomcat home environment variables which can get mixed up.

BMC would recommend that users install RSSO on a new box, migrate the user and groups from ASSO to RSSO and point Orchestrator 8.1.x to the new RSSO box.
