When trying to push out a PATROL deployment package from the TSPS CMA the deployment fails.
After creating a basic package of Windows Server, Windows Patrol Agent and Install_nt for deployment. I specified the installation directory exactly as found on the target server C:\\program files (x86)\BMC Software and the sub as Patrol3 When deployed I get this: PATROL Agent installation directory not found
Everything is 11.3, I am replacing a 10.0 agent. No special packages at all, just basic monitoring.
The CMAKMPush.log from the TSPS server is helpful here. A review of the log shows the following error:
ERROR ..- c.b.b.p.d.j.p.PASendHandShakeJobState Failed PKG_HANDSHAKE : Reason Missing PATROL Agent's home path for mytestserver.com, can not recover as Agent Version is less than 10.7.00, current Agent version : V10.0.00i
The Agent is old enough that it needs to be upgraded manually.
Support for upgrading/deploying to Patrol Agents requires the Patrol Agent be at version 10.7.
Patrol Agents with versions older than 10.7 will have to be upgraded manually.
See the chart of versions and the forced vs regular deployment
