When trying to push out a PATROL deployment package from the TSPS CMA the deployment fails. After creating a basic package of Windows Server, Windows Patrol Agent and Install_nt for deployment. I specified the installation directory exactly as found on the target server C:\\program files (x86)\BMC Software and the sub as Patrol3 When deployed I get this: PATROL Agent installation directory not found Everything is 11.3, I am replacing a 10.0 agent. No special packages at all, just basic monitoring. |
The CMAKMPush.log from the TSPS server is helpful here. A review of the log shows the following error: ERROR ..- c.b.b.p.d.j.p.PASendHandShakeJobState Failed PKG_HANDSHAKE : Reason Missing PATROL Agent's home path for mytestserver.com, can not recover as Agent Version is less than 10.7.00, current Agent version : V10.0.00i The Agent is old enough that it needs to be upgraded manually. Support for upgrading/deploying to Patrol Agents requires the Patrol Agent be at version 10.7. Patrol Agents with versions older than 10.7 will have to be upgraded manually.
