In some environments, after applying the Windows 10 Creator Update (version 1703 or version 1903) and KB4486153 the Technician Client no longer opens. Sometimes, While launching the Technician client we get the following error when trying to login. TrackIt.Application.TechnicianClient.TechnicianClient.ApplicationBackgroundLoader.Run() | Error during application background loading. | | No Error Code specified in Exception instance | -- No Error Code specified in Exception instance [TrackIt.Core.DataAccess.DataAccessException] -- Unable to initialize the native configuration support external to the web worker process (HRESULT=0x8007007E). nativerd.dll must be in %windir%\system32\inetsrv. [System.InvalidOperationException] The Creators Update 1703/1903 disables IIS 6 Management Compatibility as part of deprecation of IIS 6. If we re-enable IIS 6 on the workstation, Technician Client works normally. Technician Client normally does not require any version of IIS, so there are apparently other environmental factors involved. |
