Remedy AR System Server v9.1.03 with Oracle 12.0.x
ARSystem v9.1.03 with Oracle 12.0.x need some changes in sql.ora as per the article: Remedy - Server - Error: "ORA-28040: No matching authentication protocol" when installing ARS 9.x in Oracle 12.2.x After making these mentioned above, ARS installer proceeds but it throws error: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied despite the username and password used are correct. After making changes in sqlnet.ora User password change required or user was locked.
This knowledge article may contain information that does not apply to version 21.05 or later which runs in a container environment. Please refer to Article Number 000385088 for more information about troubleshooting BMC products in containers. To resolve this problem Check and try to unlock the user if it is locked. To unlock the user using a Database Client issue the following SQL statement: alter user user_name identified by password account unlock; where user_name is the user name and password is the current password. If the password requires to be changed issue the following SQL statement: alter user user_name identified by new_password; where user_name is the user name and new_password is the new password. After this the installer will proceed without issues. |
