Problem

I’ve been trying to load the foundation data but the jobs I created have been stuck in "In Progress" status for hours.

Error: "Creating a directory under the path \\<SERVERNAME>\Dataload\Demo\ returned an errorcode of (38). Please check the server path is correct and that the current AR Server is permitted to Create/Delete folders/subfolder and files here. (ARWARN 48646)"

ARS is installed on the D drive and did not have write permission to the C drive. After changing the Data Management Load File Path to a directory on the D drive where we had the proper write permissions, the error was no longer encountered. The Data Management Load File Path is located here:

Application Administration Console -> Custom Configuration -> Foundation -> Advanced Options -> System Configuration Settings - System Settings

Here is an example of the what it was changed to (replace <SERVERNAME> with your AR Server name):

\\<SERVERNAME>\D$\import\
