A Windows Patching Job that uses an Include Filter will disable the supersedence feature where only the latest patch in the chain is included in analysis. This means that if a superceded patch is found in the list, it will be reported in the analysis results. By default when the Include Filter is not used, however, the obsolete patches are ignored automatically. Patches listed in the Obsolete Patches smartgroup are always excluded. . Generally you may have a Smart Group in the Catalog that contains your whitelist patches, where this Smart Group is used as an Include Filter in the Patching Job. Such Smart Group is usually set up as follows: Bulletin|Hotfix 'equals' or 'is one of' [bulletin id(s)|kb number(s)] You'll need to set it to show the opposite. Instead of 'equals' or 'is one of' use 'does not equal' or 'is not one of', and leave everything else the same. Set this Smart Group as an Exclude Filter for the Patch Analysis Job. |
