Currently there is no interface in Track-It! for configuring Directory Importer to pull from multiple directories or domains. This has been requested by several Track-It! customers. |
Until an interface exists in Track-It! to support the importing from multiple domains, the following steps may be taken to accomplish this: NOTE: Before following the instructions below, please make sure to close the Technician Client application. Instructions:

To select users or groups from the originally configured domain, you must once again close the Technician Client application and edit the Numara.TrackIt.Core.DirectoryImporter.xml or TrackIt.Core.DirectoryImporter.xml file with Notepad so that the "location" entry is listed above the new one that was created. For example... <section name="locationList"> <secondarydomain>True</secondarydomain> <primarydomain>True</primarydomain> </section> When the Administration Console is re-opened, the original domain information will appear and the users and groups will be retrieved from that domain. This is a known issue which has not yet been resolved in the current version of the product. Please contact Track-It! Support to open a new case which can be associated with the defect.
