While performing a new AR Server installation is getting hung and will not complete with error showing the error: ................... "ERROR (92):Timeout during database update" ................... The arsystem_install_log and RIK_PostInstall_error.log show only below error: ................... Database snapshot isolation level not set prior to installation.
This knowledge article may contain information that does not apply to version 21.05 or later which runs in a container environment. Please refer to Article Number 000385088 for more information about troubleshooting BMC products in containers. 1. Check in the database if there are any suspended or hanging SLQ queries. SELECT sqltext.TEXT, req.session_id, req.status, req.command, req.cpu_time, req.total_elapsed_time FROM sys.dm_exec_requests req CROSS APPLY sys.dm_exec_sql_text(sql_handle) AS sqltext; and sp_who2 2. Check the following query to get information about isolation level settings on DB: select name, snapshot_isolation_state, is_read_committed_snapshot_on from sys.databases where name='ARSystem' 3. The outcome of the above query needs to show these settings to be set as listed here: - PARAMETERIZATION SIMPLE - ALLOW_SNAPSHOT_ISOLATION ON - READ_COMMITTED_SNAPSHOT ON 4. Verify below documents which are part of Install Planing https://docs.bmc.com/docs/brid2002/configuring-the-microsoft-sql-server-908971857.html https://docs.bmc.com/docs/ars2002/using-microsoft-sql-server-with-bmc-remedy-ar-system-909636142.html 5. Once above settings are set on Database side. Re-attempt the Install. |
