Problem

The Self Health Monitoring shows the event and/or data count between two HA cells can be different, how is this possible?

Cause

If both cells in the HA are stopped then this can cause the difference in event/data counts. Defect DRTEC-275 has been raised for this.

Solution

When the secondary cell is stopped, the primary cell starts to buffer the events/data it needs to send to the secondary cell.

If the primary cell is then also stopped, while secondary is still stopped, the events/data in this buffer are not maintained to be sent to the secondary cell.

In scenarios where both the cells in a HA setup are stopped, copy the var directory from the last active cell to the first stopped cell and only then start the primary, followed by the secondary.
