This knowledge article may contain information that does not apply to version 21.05 or later which runs in a container environment. Please refer to Article Number 000385088 for more information about troubleshooting BMC products in containers. The AR Server should not be running to perform the arsrename in step 3 and this is caused by known defect SW00550741 in the 18.08 GA release. ........ SW00550741 - server rename utility not able to run on clone file server machine getting ERROR (90): Cannot establish a network connection to the AR System server ........ Please find attached a patched artools91_build005.jar file that will resolve the reported ARERR 90. Please follow the following steps to apply the patch to the cloned server environment: 1- Save current artools91_build005.jar file. On Windows the file is located in: ...AR_Install_Directory\artools\lib On Unix/Linux the file is located in: ...AR_Install_Directory/artools/lib by renaming or copying to a new location. 2. Extract the patched artools91_build005.jar file from the attached zip file to: Windows: ...AR_Install_Directory\artools\lib Unix/Linux: ...AR_Install_Directory/artools/lib Default installation directory example: Windows: C:\Program Files\BMC Software\ARSystem\artools\lib Unix/Linux: /opt/bmc/ARSystem/artools/lib Once the artools91_build005.jar has been replaced the arsrename utility will run without errors with the cloned environment AR Server is not running. |
