The TSIM server can talk to the remote cell, but even launching the Admin Console from the TSIM server, it cannot connect to the remote cell. |
First, let's check to see if the remote cell names are listed and correct in the following files on the TSIM:
$MCELL_HOME/etc/mcell.dir,
~/pw/pronto/conf/cell_info.list ~/pw/pronto/data/admin/admin.dir If there are any mistakes, delete the entries from the pw commands window of the TSIM
iadmin -dc name=xxx
Add the remote cell again
iadmin -ac name=<cellName>:key=mc;primaryHost=<cellHostName>:primaryPort=<cellPortNum>:environment=Production:usergroups=*
Restart the pncell using a pw command window on the TSIM
pw p e mcell
pw p e acell (use only for TSIM versions prior to v11.x) pw p s acell (use only for TSIM versions prior to v11.x) pw p s mcell
If not, edit the file and add the pncell entry cell <cellName> mc <hostName.fq.dn>:<port>
Reload the remote cell:
mcontrol -n cellname reload dir
For Remote Administrator console, make sure the ports are opened from Remote Administrator console to all Remote cells Port and one can telnet the Remote cell ports from this Remote Administrator console. Document Reference: https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/TSOMD110/Network+ports#Networkports-NetworkportsforInfrastructureManagement If the above fails, please gather the following for Support to review: From the TSIM: 1) pw dump 1 - if pw\pronto\logs contains .hprof files, remove it and then collect pw dump 1.
From the Remote Cell Host
2) Output of pw viewhistory Zip to below directories for remote cell if it's installed on different server other than TSIM.
a) $MCELL_HOME\etc\<cell_name>
b) $MCELL_HOME\var\<cell_name> c) $MCELL_HOME\log\<cell_name> |
